The art "Embracing Diversity" by Hiroaki Miyata and Mika Ninagawa of EiM will be available for reservation-free night viewing for a limited time.
At the signature pavilion "Better Co-Being," we will be offering reservation-free night viewing in the Sequence 3 area featuring the art "Embracing Diversity" (Hiroaki Miyata with EiM) from Friday, May 2nd to Monday, June 30th, to allow more visitors to enjoy the pavilion.
This artwork is produced by Hiroaki Miyata, the producer of "Better Co-Being," and Mika Ninagawa, a photographer and film director, along with EiM, a creative team of specialists from various fields. Approximately 400 delicate wires are stretched along the 7-meter-high canopy, each adorned with a sun catcher. This "heterogeneous collection," with no identical arrangement, symbolizes the celebration of diversity. On sunny days, the natural light creates a rainbow-colored sparkle, while on cloudy or rainy days, a fantastic scene emerges with mist and artificial light.
At night, the space is filled with countless lights from approximately 15,000 crystals illuminated by lighting, inviting visitors to a magical experience under the pavilion without walls or ceilings (luminous version). Unlike the rainbow-colored sparkle during the day or the contrast on cloudy days, the night-time brilliance can be freely viewed by anyone during the reservation-free viewing period.
Additionally, to coincide with the start of the free viewing, we will unveil the special version of the wonder stone "luminous echorb" designed by Mika Ninagawa, in response to the night-time performance (luminous version) of this art. Carefully selected from various glitter and delicately layered, it expresses a deep sparkle. The special design, characterized by Mika Ninagawa's vivid colors, has been completed.
The echorb reads the visitor's location information and interacts with the Better Co-Being app (web app) to provide an interactive experience. The heartbeat sensor installed at the entrance reads the visitor's heart rate, allowing them to feel their own life in the palm of their hand while touring the pavilion, making it one of the key materials of this pavilion.
