Reservation-Free Morning and Night Viewing Available at the “Resonance between People and the Future” Area
To allow more visitors to enjoy the Signature Pavilion Better Co-Being, we are pleased to announce that in addition to the previously offered reservation-free night viewing, reservation-free morning viewing will begin on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.
The “Resonance between People and the Future” area (Sequence 3) is themed around human connection and future possibilities. It features two major art installations: “Sky of Resonance” by Hiroaki Miyata, producer of Better Co-Being, and “Embracing Diversity”, created by the creative team EiM (pronounced “aim”), led by Miyata and photographer, filmmaker, and artist Mika Ninagawa, along with specialists from various fields.
Designed by SANAA, the grid-like canopy structure eliminates walls and ceilings, seamlessly connecting the sky and forest. Approximately 400 delicate wires are suspended throughout the space, each adorned with a sun catcher. This “heterogeneous collective,” with no identical arrangement, symbolizes a celebration of diversity. On sunny days, natural light creates shimmering rainbows, while artificial rain may produce actual rainbows. On cloudy or rainy days, mist and artificial lighting create a dreamlike atmosphere. At night, around 15,000 crystals illuminated by lighting fill the space with countless points of light, offering a luminous and immersive experience under a pavilion with no walls or ceiling. We invite you to enjoy the ever-changing ambiance shaped by weather and time of day.
